Notary Wisely

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Notary Wisely collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information.

Last updated: October 3, 2026

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect account and contact information; request, appointment, location, and communication details; provider applications, credentials, and qualifications; enterprise account information; Academy enrollment and assessment records; payment and transaction references; uploaded documents; device, log, and security information; and support records.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate accounts and services, coordinate requests, verify eligibility, process payments, provide education, communicate status, prevent fraud, protect users, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve accessibility and performance, and maintain audit and security records.

3. How information is shared

We share only what is reasonably necessary with assigned or eligible providers, coordinators, enterprise administrators, payment processors, email and infrastructure vendors, professional advisers, and authorities when legally required. We do not authorize providers to use customer information for unrelated marketing.

We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that creates additional legal rights, we will update this policy and provide the required choices.

4. Documents and sensitive records

Documents, identity details, credentials, and background or insurance records may be sensitive. Access is limited by role and operational need. Users should upload only information requested for an authorized platform purpose and should not send sensitive documents through ordinary email unless instructed through an approved secure process.

5. Payments

Payment card information is processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment processor. Notary Wisely generally receives transaction identifiers and status information rather than complete card numbers. The processor's privacy terms also apply.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, security, accounting, legal, contractual, dispute, certification, and audit purposes for which it was collected. Different categories may have different retention periods. Legal holds and regulatory duties may extend retention.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected unauthorized access immediately through Support.

8. Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction, deletion, or account assistance, subject to identity verification and legal or operational retention requirements. Marketing communications will include an available opt-out method. Transactional and safety communications may still be necessary.

9. Children

Notary Wisely is not directed to children under 13, and they may not create accounts. Additional age restrictions may apply to services, applications, payments, or Academy programs.

10. Contact

Privacy questions or requests may be submitted through Notary Wisely Support, emailed to support@notarywisely.com, or mailed to Notary Wisely LLC, 312 Superior Mall, Port Huron, MI 48060.
