Notary Wisely

Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Notary Wisely websites, accounts, marketplace services, provider applications, memberships, and Academy resources.

Last updated: October 3, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using Notary Wisely, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you act for a business or government organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

2. Platform role

Notary Wisely provides technology, coordination, education, directory, and marketplace services. Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, Notary Wisely is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not choose notarial acts or prepare legal documents for customers.

Independent notaries and service providers remain responsible for their licenses, commissions, qualifications, conduct, legal compliance, and professional judgment. A listing, badge, review, or approval does not guarantee a particular result or acceptance of a document by another party. Providers must also comply with the Provider Agreement.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, bypass access controls, scrape private information, or misuse another user's records.

4. Requests, quotes, and payments

Service requests may be submitted 24 hours a day. Standard service hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time. Services scheduled before 8:00 AM or after 5:00 PM may include a disclosed after-hours fee. Availability depends on location, timing, provider capacity, document requirements, and applicable law. A request is not guaranteed until the platform confirms it. Prices, fees, taxes, add-ons, and cancellation terms must be shown before payment when payment is available.

You authorize the displayed charge when you complete checkout. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another disclosed processor. Duplicate, unauthorized, or incorrect charges should be reported promptly through Support.

5. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for accurate request details, lawful documents, valid identification, signer presence and willingness, safe access to the appointment location, and timely communication. A notary may stop or refuse a service when identification, willingness, awareness, document completeness, safety, or legal requirements are not satisfied.

6. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the platform for fraud, harassment, discrimination, unlawful surveillance, unauthorized document access, payment abuse, credential falsification, interference with another user, or any illegal purpose.

7. Cancellations and refunds

The Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to marketplace transactions unless a service-specific disclosure or signed agreement states otherwise.

8. Content, Academy, and intellectual property

Notary Wisely content, training materials, exams, software, branding, and platform design are protected intellectual property. Access is personal and limited. You may not copy, sell, publish, distribute, reverse engineer, or share restricted materials except with written permission.

Academy content is educational and is not legal advice, state commissioning, or a promise of work, income, certification recognition, or marketplace eligibility.

9. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, safety, security, legal compliance, payment risk, policy violations, or harm to users or the platform. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an available review path.

10. Disclaimers and limitation

The platform is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, provider availability, government processing times, document acceptance, or a particular outcome. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Governing law and changes

Michigan law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply. We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when required, additional notice or consent.

12. Contact

Questions, complaints, and account-access concerns may be submitted through Notary Wisely Support, emailed to support@notarywisely.com, or mailed to Notary Wisely LLC, 312 Superior Mall, Port Huron, MI 48060.
